A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written mystery book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great mystery movie, or mini TV series. 1 book you must read to the end. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

Roadkill Daisy White Books Reviews

After reading The Film School by this author and thoroughly enjoying it I eagerly downloaded this book to read on a long car journey. Wow! Not only did it make the miles whizz by it had me so engaged I didn't want to stop reading when we pulled into the service station, most unlike me! Daisy White is an incredibly talented author who creates vivid stories with twists and turns and plenty of suspense. At several points in this story I found myself holding my breath in anticipation and terror of what would happen next. The characters in this book are so believable and I loved how the heroine of the story, Caz, shared a little running commentary of her thoughts, even those niggling negative ones when she knew she was being hard on her mother but couldn't help herself. Absolutely brilliant book I'm now a total fan of this author and off to download Killing Time.
The length of this book definitely makes for a fast and easy read, which is probably fairly common for a book geared toward young adults. It's been a while since I was a young adult so I don't totally remember!

There were a couple of transitions from scene to scene, or where Cas is having a memory, where I got slightly confused and had to go back and re-read a couple of times until I found a way that it made sense. And to be honest, I had an inkling who the killer was early on, but couldn't suss out why. So although not completely unpredictable, I will still in a bit of suspense waiting for that explanation. There were a few phrases that were a little bit foreign to me, but that can be explained away because they author is from the UK and I am from the US!

In general, I would say the book is well-written. I definitely wanted to finish it without setting it down once I started. I would certainly read other books by this author if given the opportunity. The characters are well-developed and described in a way that you can actually envision them in your head.

I received an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review.

I did like this book but I guessed who the killer was early on. I didn't know why they killed Rose but the writer cleared everything up at the end.
Until Caz tells us how old she is, I thought she was much younger. Then I thought she was around 21 because of the drinking.
I think the writer could have separated the scenes a little better. One minute she's in the police station and the next paragraph she's at the park. The same could be said about Caz's memories of Rose. I had to backtrack to make sure I hadn't missed something.
Yes, there are grammatical mistakes but not enough to disturb my enjoyment.
This book isn't perfect but it kept my interest and at no point did I want to give up on reading it.
I would recommend this for young adults.
